Thermal Energy

  1. Thermal power plants use coal as a fuel for generating energy. 
  2. In Rajasthan, the quality and quantity of coal were low for energy generation. So, it mostly depends upon importing the coal from other states.
    1. In the Rajasthan state,  the lignite/Brown coal present ( Presence of Carbon Component only 45-55% ).

BIP ( Bureau of Investment Promotion)

  1. It was the Investment Promotion Agency of Rajasthan that facilitated the investment proposals in the state.
  2. It actively seeks to bring investment opportunities in various sectors to the attention of potential investors, both domestic as well as foreign companies through activities such as

    3. Single Window Clearance System(SWCS)

Jakham irrigation Project

  1. Under this mega project, a dam of 5000 cubic feet of water storage capacity has been built on the river Zakhm near AnupPur village in the Pratapgarh district and two main canals the pickup dam 13 km ahead of the main dam. 
    1. The right canal is 23.8 km, and the left canal is 39.9 km. 
  2. On this project, an irrigation facility will be available in about 23.5 thousand hectares of 104 villages of the Dharwad district of Udaipur district and three villages of Pratapgarh district. 7.25 crores.

Land Utilisation in Rajasthan

  1. The total reporting area of the State is 342.87 lakh hectare during the year 2018-19. 
  2. Out of this,
    1. 8.05 % is under forests (27.60 lakh hectare).
    2. 5.81 per cent area is under non–agriculture use (19.93 lakh hectare).
    3. 6.95 % under barren and uncultivable land (23.83 lakh hectare).
    4. 4.86 % under permanent pastures & other grazing lands (16.68 lakh hectare).
    5. 0.08 % land under miscellaneous tree crops and groves (0.26 lakh hectare).
    6. 11.04 % under culturable waste land (37.84 lakh hectare).
    7. 6.14 % under fallow land other than current fallow (21.06 lakh hectare).
    8. 5.22 % under current fallow (17.89 lakh hectare) .
    9. 51.85 % area is under net area sown (177.78 lakh hectare).

Mukhya Mantri Nishulk Dava Yojana

  1. Mukhya Mantri Nishulk Dava Yojana is implemented by Medical, Health and Family Welfare Department.
  2. 04 new medicines are added in essential drug list. At present in this scheme, 713 essential drugs, 77 sutures and 181 surgical items are listed and during the year 2020-21, an expenditure of ₹489.82 crore was incurred upto December, 2020.

Perverence Rover

  1. Mars 2020 is a Mars rover mission forming part of NASA’s Mars Exploration Program that includes the rover Perseverance and the small robotic, coaxial helicopter Ingenuity.
  2. Perverence Rover has made history by making oxygen from the available carbon dioxide and other gases present on mars. This made possibility of long term human survival on Mars.

Amit Dhankad

  1. Former Asian champion Amit Dhankar (74kg) on Thursday replaced national gold-medallist Sandeep Mann in the Indian wrestling team for the upcoming World Olympic Qualifying Tournament
