M L Kumawat Committee ( High Level Committee )

  1. Formed on 10th April, 2021 by Rajasthan Government.
  2. Objective of the Committee are:
    1. How to complete the recruitment process in various government services on time & according to the calendar set by the RPSC and the State Staff Selection Board.
    2. And Suggest other reforms in recruitment process:
      1. How to prevent incidents like paper leaks and copying in recruitment examinations
      2. Review of various service rules, common eligibility test and 
      3. Prevention of judicial disputes from arising in the recruitment process.

  4. Committee submitted its Report on 26th July 2021 to the CM Ashok Gelhot.

Minimum Wage

  1. On the date 30th July 2021, Rajasthan Government decided to increase the rate of minimum wages in the state.
  2. The proposed minimum wage rate, applicable from 1st July 2020, has been fixed on the basis of the hike in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) for the period from 1st January 2019 to 30th June, 2020.

Tribal Partnership Yojana

  1. Launched on 9 August 2021 on World Tribal Day.
  2. Aim of the scheme is to uplift the tribal community of Rajasthan State
  3. Provisions:
    1. Works includes:
      1. Construction and repair of community assets
      2. Promotion and protection as well as employment generation
      3. Skill training
      4. Dairy
      5. Animal husbandry etc
    2. Only those works will be allowed by the government, through which at least 50% of the benefitted population belongs to the tribal community. 
      1. Note: Construction will not be allowed under the scheme on private land.
  4. The amount required for the work & activities will be taken from many other schemes also:
    1. At least 30% of the required amount will have to be provided from public support, voluntary organizations, donors or any other government scheme, program or fund. 
    2. The permission for works up to Rs 10 lakh will be issued by the local district collector.
      1. Above 10 lakh and up to Rs 25 lakh by the commissioner, tribal regional development and 
      2. Above Rs 25 lakh at the level of tribal regional development department
    3. The work to be done in this scheme will be implemented by the state department or state government undertaking, corporation, board etc. and the ownership of the property to be built will be of the state government.

Environment Management Cell ( EMC )

  1. EMC was established in the Local Self Government Department, Rajasthan for giving boost to ongoing development activities and for the protection of Environment.
  2. EMC works on or with the following Management rules and National Green Tribunal for protection of the environment, such rules are:
    1. Solid Waste Management Rule – 2016
    2. Plastic Waste Management Rule – 2016
    3. Bio-Medical Waste Management Rule – 2016
    4. Construction and Demolition Waste Management Rule – 2016
    5. E- waste Management Rule – 2016
    6. National Green Tribunal(NGT)

Mukhyamantri Kisan Mitra Urja Yojana

  1. Launched on 17th July 2021
  2. Scheme of Energy Department, Rajasthan
  3. Provisions:
    1. Agricultural consumers will get a subsidy of Rs 1,000 per month and maximum Rs 12,000 per year on electricity rates.

New “Eco-Tourism Policy-2021”

  1. Launched on 15th July, 2021 by CM Ashok Gehlot at the meeting of State Wildlife Board.
  2. It was prepared by the Department of Forest and Environment.

Smart City Mission

  1. In the 15th July 2021 report, Rajasthan secured 1st place in “Smart City Mission”.
    1. Rajasthan rank – 2nd ( 2020 )
  2. Smart City Mission covers 36 State/UTs.
  3. In the 100 cities ranking, Rajasthan’s 4 states ranks:
    1. Udaipur – 5th
    2. Kota – 10th
    3. Ajmer – 22nd
    4. Jaipur – 28th
  4. Note: 
    1. Smart City Mission comes under the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs.
    2. Andhra Pradesh – 2nd place in ranking
    3. Gujarat – 3rd in ranking

Bamboo Oasis on Lands in Draught ( BOLD Project )

  1. Khadi and Village Industries Commission(KVIC) launched the BOLD project on 4th July 2021 in the tribal village Nichla Mandwa in Udaipur, Rajasthan.
  2. Aim of Project:
    1. Create Bamboo based green patches in arid and semi-arid land areas.
    2. 5000 saplings of bamboo species(Bambusa Rulda and Bambusa Polymorpha) planted over 16 acres in Vacant arid Gram Panchayat land.
  3. About KVIC:
    1. Founded in 1956
    2. Headquarter: Mumbai (Maharashtra)

Salgaon Dam Project – Mt Abu (Sirohi)

  1. Project was proposed in 1977.
  2. Government of Rajasthan approved Salgaon Dam Project in the month July, 2021 to facilitate rainwater storage to Mt Abu Region .

Mukhyamantri Samuhik Vivah Evam Anudan Yojana – 2021

  1. Scheme is implemented in place of Rajasthan Samuhik Vivah Evam Anudan Niyam – 2018.
  2. Operated by Women and Child Development Department, Rajasthan
  3. Provisions in the schemes:
    1. Rs 10,000 given to Girl & Rs 3,000 given to NGO at the time of marriage.
    2. After 60 days of Marriage, on providing Marriage Certificate or other certificates Rs 5,000 also given to that married lady.

Informer Protsahan Yojana

  1. To encourage tax evasion information, the state government has approved the implementation of Informer Protsahan Yojana being implemented in the State Directorate of Revenue Intelligence(SDRI) in all departments of the state government related to revenue generation.
  2. Amount of incentive payable to informers:
    1. The interim incentive amount payable to the informer will be limited to a maximum of Rs 1 Lakh in cash and the limit of the final incentive amount will be up to a maximum of Rs. 25 lakh.

Mini Food Park

  1. Government of Rajasthan allotted 100 Acre of land to Agriculture Producer market of Gram Panchayat “Bandara”, Barmer district under section 102 of Rajasthan Land Revenue Act, 1956 to build Mini Food Park.
  2. Rajasthan Budget 2020-21:
    1. Phase wise establishment of Mini Food Park in Rajasthan
      1. Rs 200 crore allotted for 1st Phase
        1. Pali, Nagaur, Barmer, Jaisalmer, Jallore, Sawai Madhopur, Karuali, Bikaner and Dausa.

Rajasthan’s First Tribal Academy established in Udaipur District

  1. Tribal Boys/Girls Hockey Academy, Udaipur

Cyber Police Station

  1. Department of Home, Rajasthan gots green signal to establish Cyber Crime Police stations in Jodhpur and Bharatpur in the line of Jaipur Cyber Crime Police Station from CM Ashok Gehlot.
  2. There are also pre-existing Crime units in Jodhpur & Bharatpur.

“Raj Kisan Jaivik” Mobile App

  1. Launched by Agriculture Department, Rajasthan for the farmers
  2. Function:
    1. Buying or selling organic products through online mode.
    2. Application provides direct communication between buyer and seller.

Vidya Sambal Yojana

  1. Coaching facilities provided to the 9th to 12th students for three month in their academic period.
  2. Subjects covered in the coaching are Maths, Science and English.

Rajasthan Government Health Scheme ( RGHS )

  1. The Rajasthan government launched the RGH scheme for its employees which took effect from 1st July on the lines of the Central Government Health Scheme(CGHS).

Personnel Welfare Fund

  1. To provide loans at low interest for the serving and retired employees of the state government for their needs, the government has constituted the Personnel Welfare Fund. 
  2. Operated by State Insurance & Provident Fund Department, Government of Rajasthan

Rajasthan’s First Village to get ODF+ Tag:

    1. Open Defecation Free Plus is an extension of the ODF programme under Swachh Bharat Mission.
